Definition of Health
What is Health?
“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being – not merely the absence of diseases and infirmity” - -World Health Organization
Physical health -
A person with a state of complete physical health is absent from sickness and disease which affects proper functional systems of the heart, lung, neuro-musculoskeletal, the nervous system, etc. Physical health includes good state of flexibility, strong core stability, balanced musculoskeletal, and strong lower extremities that is free from lower back ache, being fit and active in physical activities.
Mental health -
An individual with balanced emotional health is free from psychological distress and mental instability. Mental health is closely interrelated to Emotional wellness; it is a person’s capabilities that can handle every personal distress, depression and anger situation with positive, optimistic, in a constructive manner. A person with emotional wellness is generally characterized as happy and perceives every negative circumstances as a learning curve of life.
Social health -
A social healthy individual is physically and mentally fit to function and participate in the leisure and society activities, free from illnesses and disability.
